September - October (Fall)

September and October make one of the most beautiful times to visit with the weather being fairly warm, but mildly chilly, and vibrant fall colors taking over the slopes (typically start to change color the end of September). For visitors preferring to explore the alpine nation with less crowds, these months are ideal.

Temperatures are starting to dip in September and October averaging around mid-40's° F to 70's° F. Mornings sometimes start out a bit crisp, across the valley, mountains in the distance hint that winter is waiting in the wings. The weather is comfortable for hiking throughout the country, from Liechtenstein's mountainous corner (Malbun) to the river bank, along forest paths, and through the city streets.

Events and Festivals

- The Annual Fair: The annual fair used to be held each autumn as part of the cattle market, where traders would sell their goods to local farmers. Today a number of markets take place each year at this time, often featuring fun fair rides.
